Introduction
Is your preschool website attracting good user traffic but generating only a few tour inquiries? The problem might be that your Calls to Action (CTAs) don’t align with your website content. Your preschool website is vital for explaining the specifics of your services. Its content must be easy to understand while simultaneously highlighting your school’s advantages and answering why parents should choose your school over others. A discussion about crafting attention-grabbing website content to describe your school’s advantages will be a separate blog article. In this blog, I want to discuss how to improve your website’s Calls to Action (CTAs) to increase conversions.

Website metrics to analyze
Now, consider that if your webpage is good or at least average, you might see high Active Time on some of its pages. This indicates that parents visiting your website are not leaving immediately.
Metrics to gauge customer engagement on a preschool website include scroll depth, which measures how far down the content was viewed before the customer exited the page. Scroll depth is measured from top to bottom and is usually higher than 30% if the content is relevant. It also reflects the user experience.
A heatmap is another key performance indicator that shows how users engaged with the website content. By using a heatmap, you can determine which elements on the webpage captured customer attention.
These are some indicators that your webpage content is interesting and relevant to what your customers are searching for.
By now, you probably understand what I am trying to explain here: it is not enough to simply provide the best content and a great user experience. You still need Calls to Action (CTAs) to capture user responses, which will be the starting point of a sale.
Click to Actions (CTA) for Preschool websites
Examples of CTAs for the early education industry are.
Schedule a Tour: This encourages parents to visit the school and experience the facilities in person. They can meet the teachers, observe the learning environment, and see the curriculum in action. School tours are typically provided by appointment, so offering an online appointment booking feature can greatly simplify the process for prospective parents. It’s important to note that requesting a tour usually indicates a higher level of interest from the parent. However, potential drawbacks include a delayed process and requiring more effort from parents.

Call Us Now: This call-to-action (CTA) is highly effective, offering immediate personal interaction and answers for parents who prefer direct communication, especially before scheduling a school tour. This CTA can be used in conjunction with other CTAs. The phone number should be prominently displayed in the header, footer, and on the “Contact Us” page. Various applications allow users to initiate a call directly from the website with a single click, which can be highly effective in generating phone call leads.

Enroll Now – Direct and action-oriented, this call to action (CTA) is used to drive immediate enrollments. It is especially effective during enrollment season and at specific locations on a webpage, such as the end of pages after all relevant information and social proof have been provided. “Enroll Now” can also be used in the header or in the main sections of program pages, similar to “Schedule a Tour.” While this CTA simplifies the enrollment process, it may be too forward for parents who want to learn more about the school first.
Learn More – This CTA is used in multiple places, especially on tiles and in sections that direct users to specific pages.
Register for a Free Trial Day – This is a low-commitment option that allows parents and children to experience the school firsthand.
